Comics !

Je viens de finir une GIGANTESQUE bande dessinée (7 pages!). Même si ça n'a pas été de tout repos (notamment parce que je suis sur la route en ce moment), je suis contente du résultat. Voici les deux premières planches. Le reste disponible très bientôt !

I've just finished a HUGE comics (7 pages!). Event if it hasn't been so easy (because I'm on the road right now), I quite happy about the result. Here are the two first pages. The full comics avalaible very soon !

kinetika 2014

Je suis heureuse de vous annoncer que j'ai été sélectionnée pour participer au concours Kinetika 2014 sur le thème de l'art cinétique. J'ai donc créé le projet suivant : une grande bulle en papier pliée selon un principe de tesselation à laquelle serait appliquée un mouvement de respiration. 

Ma sélection implique que mon projet va être envoyé à un groupe d'ingénieur basé à New Plymouth en Nouvelle Zélande. Ces ingénieurs vont construire un moteur pour faire bouger mon travail selon le mouvement choisi.
C'est une superbe opportunité pour moi de travailler sur ces plis que j'ai commencé à expérimenter il y a quelques années.

I'm glad to announce you that I've just been selected to participate to the Kinetika 2014 art contest about the kinetic art. I've made that project : a giant bubble made in folding paper (tesselation principle) which will breath.
As I'm selected, I will work with a engineers team from New Plymouth, New Zealand. These engineers will build a motor to make move my work as I want.
It's a great opportunity for my to work on this folding paper experimentation which I started few years ago.

Mural #3 !

On vient de finir une grande peinture murale au Lantana Lodge, un hôtel à Auckland, New Zealand, avec Martin Leroy et notre collectif IAAM!  La contrainte était de travailler sur le thème de la frise, alors on a réalisé 16 petits éléments de typographie et de dessin. Le résultat est chouette !

We have just finished a new mural painting at the Lantana Logde, an hostel in Auckland, New Zealand, with Martin Leroy and our collective IAAM! The instruction was to play with the idea of frise. We made 16 little typographic and drawing elements. The result is awesome !

Poster

Je viens de réaliser une illustration pour le programme d'une pièce de théâtre qui sera jouée lors du Festival de théâtre de rue de Lachine, Montréal, Canada. La pièce s'appelle Archipel (150 Haïkus avant de mourir encore) et a été crée par Félix-Antoine Boutin et Vincent de Repentigny.

I just made this illustration for a theatre event program which will take place in Festival de théâtre de rue de Lachine, Montréal, Canada. The show is named Archipel (150 Haïkus avant de mourir encore) and is created by Félix-Antoine Boutin and Vincent de Repentigny.

Nouvel hôtel / New hotel !

Une nouvelle commande pour le collectif IAAM. Cette fois il s'agit de l'hôtel Lantana Lodge, basé à Auckland Nouvelle-Zélande. On a dû faire la signalisation sur la porte de la cuisine et la semaine prochaine, on s'attaque au grand mur de l'entrée !
Design réalisé par Martin Leroy, et exécuté par lui et par moi-même.

A new order for IAAM collective. This time it's from the Lantana Lodge, auckland, New Zealand. We had to do a piece on the kitchen door, and next week, we will paint the big wall in the lodge !

Recherches/ Researches

En ce moment, je dessine beaucoup. En attendant de commencer une nouvelle fresque murale la semaine prochaine (commande d'un hôtel à Auckland, Nouvelle-Zélande), je fais de nombreuses recherches pour mon prochain livre. Ces recherches sont de multiples natures : dessin au trait aquarelle, broderie sur papier, travaux sur tissus. En voici un aperçu !

These last days, I draw a lot. I'm waiting next week to make a new big mural painting (ordered by an hotel in Auckland, New Zealand). I'm doing lots of researches for my next book too. These researches are made from lots of different media : black outlines, watercolor, embroidery on paper, the work of tissues. In here are some !
